This project involved reworking and extending the ground floor layout, necessitating the rearrangement of the existing structural elements and conversion of the loft space to accommodate additional bedrooms and bathroom.
To provide significant additional square footage on a compact, urban, residential plot, the client required the construction of a basement storey beneath the existing Victorian terraced house. Structural alterations were also made to accommodate the extension and opening up of the ground floor layout to create a spacious cooking, dining and entertaining space.
To increase the living space and add an additional bedroom and bathroom, this project comprised the conversion of the attic for residential use with a rear dormer to maximize the available space and extension and opening up of the ground floor.
To accommodate an expanding family, our client required a side and rear extension at ground level to this, already generous, detached property. The structural arrangement was altered to provide an expansive dining and entertaining space. The loft was also converted to create 2 additional, large bedrooms and bathroom.
